NWA Pride Announces NWA Pride Parade,Grand Marshal, and Dedication
Fayetteville, AR - The NWA Pride Parade will be on June 25, 2011 in Fayetteville, AR, Line up starts at 8 AM and parade starts at 10 AM. Starting point is on N. East Street between Meadow and Dickson Streets.
The theme for this year's parade will be "Live and Let Love."
NWA Pride is pleased to announce the grand marshal will be Michael Walsh from Eureka Springs, AR. He was instrumental in getting the Domestic Partnership Registry (DPR) and Domestic Partner Benefits for city employees of Eureka Springs. This also required getting an endorsement from the Arkansas Municipal League.
This year's parade will be dedicated to Carolyn Wagner, a Gay Rights Activist and former Vice President of Parents, Family, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG). She passed from this world on January 17, 2011. She will be missed. We will celebrate her life during the parade and rally.
