NWA Happy Hour

First Thursday

The NWA Center for Equality will be on hand with information about the center and events including the art walk, an outdoor showing of the documentary Waiting in the Wings to celebrate Black Music Month, and live music from Tiffany Christopher. The event also includes a fundraiser for the Fayetteville Animal Shelter with proceeds from the New Belgium beer garden benefiting the shelter. For more information visit

Annual Meetings & Elections

Join the Center for Equality for our 4th Annual Meeting. The schedule included "Taking a Stand" the Equality Movement and its Parallels Presented by Dick Bennett, OMNI Center founder, followed by the Annual Elections. With a multimedia retrospective of the Center "Looking Forward," and a performance by the Unitarian Universalist Choir. Food and refreshments will be available. Time OUT Tuesday: Kick Back and Bowl

We will roll out the fun at Fast Lane in Lowell from 6:30-8pm. Bring your friends and your families. Rainbow balloons will mark the All OUT June lanes. Each person will be responsible for shoe rental ($2.50) Additional donations requested to cover cost of lanes. Call (479) 587-9351 for more info.

Education Event: Film Screening of "Brother Outsider"

P.R.I.D.E (People Respecting Individual Differences and Equality) at the University of Arkansas along with the NWA Center for Equality will present the film "Brother Outsider" a documentary about Bayard Rustin the organizer of the 1963 March on Washington. After the film there will be a panel discussion and light refreshments will be served.

Pride OUT the Park- Arkansas Naturals Game

NWA Roller Derby Night

Come see the best Roller Derby in the Region with several teams from the surrounding states battle for first place! Doors open at 6 pm, bouts start at 7 pm. $10 in advance $15 at the door Kids 12 and under are free with paid adult.

HOWL: Women’s Open Mic Night

HOWL takes place the third Sunday of each month at Nightbird Bookstore. Women are invited to read poems (their own or another woman writer's), share short prose or sing at an open mic forum. So come read, sing or play your work to a really receptive audience. It's a great place to "try out" new works, share your masterpieces, or read for the very first time. Men and women are warmly invited to attend this celebration of women's words.

Float Building

For the first time, the Center will be having a float in the Pride Parade (June 26th) and we need YOUR help to build it. Monday night we will be building a stand for our HUGE Rainbow Rlag. Come help us out; even if you can only stay for a little while!

Time OUT Tuesday: Pizza, Beer, and Drag Bingo FUNdraiser!

U.S. Pizza Co. 202 W. Dickson St. Fayetteville, AR
U.S. Pizza will donate 10% of their sales this evening to the NWA Center for Equality. The bingo begins at 7pm with your hosts Taylor Madison Monroe and Cameo Dickson! Enjoy delicious pizza and ice cold draft beer for $1.50 domestics and $2.50 premium all night long starting at 5pm and ending at 10pm. So bring your friends and help raise funds for center programs. $5 entry fee and $1 per each additional card.

NWA Happy Hour Pool Party

The weather should be perfect with a high of 91 and the Pool will be open, so bring your suit! Keg Beer will be hosted and some liquor basics will be made available as well. Anything special, you are more than welcome to bring! Parking is available on Rolling Hills and Sheryl Ave- there is also additional parking available across the street at Trinity Fellowship. Gulley Park Summer Concert Series

Float Building

Pride Parade
Sat, June 26, 10am – 11am
Dickson Street, Fayetteville, AR
Starting lineup is at 8am. Parade starts at 10am. Staging will be in the parking lot on Meadow Street and Church Avenue behind Tangerine. The parade route will turn from the parking lot, down Meadow, to East, then down Dickson, to West, where NWA Pride will host a rally in the Walton Arts Center Parking Lot. Grand Marshal is Will Phillips and a proclamation will be read by Mayor Lionel Jordan!

AOJ Block Party

Continue the celebration of Pride in Downtown Fayetteville with live music outside featuring Spencer Hastings, Jorian Oxygen, and other guests. There will also be a live DJ and Karaoke inside. Other organizations such as Positive Links, The Center for Artistic Revolution, The Human Rights Campaign, the NWA Center for Equality, and other area GSAs will have information booths to educate participants about the LGBTQ Community.

White Party

The entire day of events explodes into the hottest evening in NWA. Enjoy dance music and entertainment as we celebrate being OUT and PROUD! Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Pride Service/ Potluck/ Dance with Big Bad Gina

Join Video Underground for a Documentary that takes a look at perceptions of gender with a showing of: "You Don't Know Dick", an award winning documentary on Transmen including an interview of Jameson Green and other Transmen.
